GATE Parent Nights and Showcases
WSD provides a program in Gifted and Talented Education for identified students in Grades 3-
6. There is a GATE cluster program at each elementary school and a GATE magnet program at
Sequoia Academy. In order to promote the GATE program, elementary schools should be
providing a GATE Parent Information Night and a GATE Showcase. Middle schools are also
encouraged to have a GATE Showcase that highlights their Accelerated/Honors Programs.
