The ASES Pride Program refers to the After School Education and Safety (ASES) Program often branded with school-specific themes like “Pride” to promote school spirit and positive values. It is a state-funded initiative in California that provides academic support, enrichment activities, and safe after-school supervision for students in elementary and middle schools.

The program typically runs every school day until at least 6:00 p.m. and includes:

  • Homework help and tutoring

  • Recreational activities and enrichment (e.g., arts, sports, STEM)

  • Character development and social-emotional learning

The "Pride" component often emphasizes school values such as Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Determination, and Empathy, aligning with Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) frameworks.
